This writing table is a remarkable example of traditional oriental lacquered furniture. Its surface has a veined finish. The top of the table has a slightly split edge. The front of the furniture is articulated by five drawers, organized in a symmetrical way, which reinforces the compositional balance characteristic of this type of pieces. Below them is a discreet carved decoration, also prolonged on the leg supports, where the ornamental elements are integrated with the structure, bringing lightness to the whole without altering its functionality.
In stylistic terms, the table combines formal sobriety with a refined treatment of the material. Its practical character and careful aesthetics suggest that it was a piece of furniture intended for a domestic space of a certain rank.
