Black matelassé leather, characteristic of the brand. Metallic "Double C" on the front. Gold hardware. Double short top handle and long shoulder strap combining leather and golden chain. Four protective rivets on the base. Compartmentalized interior lined in fabric.

The "matelassé" finish, characteristic of Chanel, is a diamond quilting, created by Coco Chanel herself in 1955 for the 2.55 bag.
