Douglas Argüelles is a Cuban-American visual artist based in New York. His works have been exhibited nationally and internationally; he has participated in the Contemporary Cuban Art Salon and in collateral exhibitions of the Seventh, Eighth and Tenth Havana Biennials. He currently teaches Drawing and Painting at the Faculty of Plastic Arts of the Higher Institute of Art, Havana, Cuba. His work is part of important collections worldwide. Among them are institutions such as the Pérez Art Museum (PAMM) in Miami, the Museum of Fine Arts of Havana, and the Fine Arts Center of Colorado Springs.
