DESCRIPTION
Pair of candlesticks from the Empire period; XIX century.
Bronze.
Measurements: 63 cm (height, x2).
Pair of bronze candlesticks, belonging to the period. Each piece is formed by the figure of a winged woman, a victory or nymph, holding with both hands a candelabra of several arms, decorated with vegetal motifs and scrolls of classical inspiration. The figures stand on a quadrangular base ornamented with mythological reliefs and acanthus moldings, reinforcing the solemnity and compositional balance typical of the style. Their gilded finish and detailed modeling reflect the technical mastery and symbolic elegance of the decorative art of the Napoleonic Empire.
