Fernando Mayoral began his artistic training at the School of Nobles and Fine Arts of San Eloy and the School of Arts and Crafts of Salamanca. Later he continued his studies at the School of Fine Arts of San Fernando. In 1957 he moved to Italy thanks to a scholarship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Throughout his career he combined his work as an artist with teaching, becoming professor of drawing at the Instituto de Bachillerato Torres Villaroel and associate professor of Sculpture at the University of Salamanca.
