Carlos Montaño is a Spanish sculptor and painter. He was trained at the School of Applied Arts and the Faculty of Fine Arts in Seville, where he studied painting, sculpture and engraving.
He began his artistic career in the 80's and soon stood out within the contemporary conceptual art. His work is characterized by combining painting, sculpture and art installations with a strong symbolic and expressive content. Through his creations he explores themes such as the human body, space and the relationship between reality and imagination.
Throughout his career he has held numerous exhibitions and has been recognized for his personal and experimental style within the Spanish art scene.
