Ariel Guzik is a self-taught researcher since 1974 in electromagnetic theory, electronic engineering, physics, fine arts and music. He founded the Laboratory of Research in Resonance and Expression of Nature, where he has been exploring for more than 25 years physical phenomena such as resonance, magnetism and electricity to develop sound mechanisms that mediate between nature and art.
His work focuses on the creation of instruments that translate natural phenomena into sound language, as well as on the search for communication with other forms of life, especially cetaceans and plants. These investigations are integrated into a philosophical reflection on the White Field, one of his main contributions.
He has exhibited in international spaces such as the Venice Biennial, the ISEA (Germany), the ARCO Fair (Madrid), and in Mexico in institutions such as the MUAC, the Museum of Modern Art and the Laboratorio Arte Alameda. Member of the Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte, he received in 2011 the First Prize of Transitio_MX_04 for Cámara Lambdoma, a work internationally recognized in 2015. That same year he was nominated for the Prix Ars Electronica.
