Painter born in Sabadell in 1936, Poveda develops a painting mainly in oil, through a language inherited from impressionism, characterized by a special valuation of the stain, and endowed with a poetic realism that starts from the representation of the peasant and sailor world, as well as ballet scenes, which he captures from a plastic and conceptual distancing, with an evocative and nostalgic character. He made his individual debut in 1974, and since then he has held exhibitions in galleries in Vic, Valencia, Palafrugell, Barcelona, La Bisbal, Madrid and other cities. Since 1985 he has exhibited regularly in La Escala, Playa de Aro and Tossa de Mar. He is currently represented in numerous collections in Spain, Germany, France, Belgium and other European countries.
