Burberry, known for its legacy in fashion and luxury accessories, entered the world of fountain pens in the 1990s. Although it did not manufacture these instruments, it collaborated with specialized brands to offer writing products that reflected its British aesthetic and attention to detail.
In 1996, Burberry launched three collections of writing instruments:
Wessex Collection, Windsor Collection and Check Collection, which is the case with our fountain pen: featuring Burberry's iconic tartan pattern, this collection stood out for its distinctive design. The pens in this line were available with 14-karat nibs in fine and coarse sizes.
These collections reflected Burberry's classic and timeless aesthetic, fusing British tradition with Italian craftsmanship.
