The one we now present is a splendid view of Paris showing the Île de la Cité and the Seine River. The bridge in the foreground is the Pont Neuf, one of the oldest and most famous bridges in Paris, connecting the left bank, the Île de la Cité and the right bank. In the center of the composition, although a bit diffused in the distance and shrouded in a misty atmosphere, you can make out the towers of Notre Dame Cathedral, undoubtedly one of the most emblematic buildings of the French capital. The grayish atmosphere and the bare branches of the trees suggest a scene, a common theme in Parisian views.
