Anne-Lise Coste was born near Marseille in 1973. She studied in Marseille and Zurich (Switzerland), after which she settled in New York, and now lives in Orthoux (South of France). His drawings and texts have the immediacy of graffiti, and allow him to express subjective moods mixed with political criticism and literary sentences. With a Dada-influenced language and intensely lyrical images, his work exudes irony, rebellion and emotion. He creates seemingly decorative compositions that in reality offer us a catalog of contemporary anxieties, where the immediacy of the drawing gesture combines a strong poetic sense with an element of social criticism. Solo exhibitions: 2019: Bazooka, chateau d' Assas art institute, Le Vigan; La Vie En Rose, CRAC, Sète; 120 tons of body and soul, Nogueras Blanchard, Madrid; Sors le Monde, La Fabrique, Salomon Foundation, Annecy. 2018: La femme parfaite, Lullin + Ferrari, Zürich. TU CALAVERA, MI CALAVERA, Reinhard Hauff, Stuttgart.
