Armchair for indoor or outdoor high-tech style, designed by Monika Mulder in the 90s, for the firm IKEA PS (Limited Edition).
Monica Mulder is a designer trained at The Design Academy in Eindhoven. A scholarship at IKEA's design department enabled her to get a job and move to Sweden. In 2007 she opened her own design studio in the former sugar factory premises in Gothenburg. There she works as a freelance designer with clients such as Materia, Markslöjd, Pholc, Lundbergs möbler, Tenzo and IKEA. Her creations have received awards such as Best Swedish Shape and Best Furniture of the Year. Mulder designed for IKEA, among others, the stackable rattan Sävö armchair and the Gjöra bed frame (which received the Swedish Design Award from Elle Decoration magazine in 2017). For the Vållö watering can she received the Best Swedish Design Award in 2002. His work has been shown at international exhibitions and has received attention in design books such as the International Design Yearbook.
