DESCRIPTION

Female bust. Italy, XVII-XVIII century.
Wax, with polychrome.
Measurements: 10.5 cm (height); 15 cm (overall height).

Small wax sculpture from the Baroque period, representing a female head, possibly that of a Virgin. The figure appears slightly tilted, with narrowed eyes and a rapt expression, of intense spirituality. The hair, delicately worked, is arranged in waves that cascade on both sides of the face, polychrome in brown tones. The piece is presented on a stepped wooden base.
