"Still alive" is a work deeply representative of Marcos Tamargo's imaginary, where urban art, symbolic criticism and contemporary culture converge. The artist uses a spray can, an icon of graffiti and immediate creative action, as a literal and conceptual container. Being open and torn, it reveals inside the figure of an astronaut, a recurring symbol of exploration, vulnerability and human loneliness.
Marcos Tamargo is a multidisciplinary Spanish artist whose work moves between painting, sculpture and object intervention, with a recognizable language that combines urban iconography, classical references and social reflection. Trained in Fine Arts, he has developed an international career with exhibitions in Europe, America and Asia, and has carried out projects in institutional spaces and prestigious galleries. His work is part of private and corporate collections.
