Exceptional representation of an Egyptian pantheistic divinity, conceived as a synthesis of multiple attributes and divine powers, destined to protective and apotropaic functions. This type of figures, complex and highly symbolic, integrate elements of various deities -such as Bes, Horus or Amun- in a single entity, designed to concentrate protective forces against evil influences.
The figure is presented standing, with a frontal and rigid body, crowned by an elaborate headdress composed of feathers and animal elements, while the outstretched wings reinforce its supernatural character. The treatment of the face, with intense and expressive features, together with the accumulation of attributes, responds to a deliberately powerful iconography, intended to act as a protective amulet in domestic or ritual contexts.
The quality of the casting and the iconographic richness place the piece within a careful production, characteristic of the last periods of Pharaonic Egypt, when these representations reach great formal complexity. The surface preserves an attractive antique patina with dark and greenish shades.
The work has a solid international provenance and has been published in Christie's catalog, which reinforces its interest and relevance in the antiques market.
