Great Indian ceremonial cow head, made of carved wood and richly polychromed. The piece presents a frontal treatment of great visual force, with long raised horns, almond-shaped eyes and a meticulous decoration in red, white, green, black and golden tones, organized by means of floral, geometric and linear motifs.

The cow occupies a central place in the religious culture of India, associated with fertility, abundance, protection and sacredness.
