DESCRIPTION

JOAN CARRILLO (Campillos, Malaga, 1948).
Vase.
In glazed ceramic.
Signed on the base.
It presents a small flaking in the mouth.
Measurements: 38 x 17 x 17 cm.
Although Joan Carrillo was born in Malaga, he soon moved to Olot, where he trained in drawing, painting and engraving at the local School of Fine Arts. He began working in ceramics in the workshop of the Capuchin Marià Vayreda between 1969 and 1970. He currently works in the Serra brothers' ceramics workshop in Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona). He is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics in Switzerland.
