Art Nouveau tabletop centerpiece in hand-glazed stoneware. It is decorated with floral cartouches.
The firm was created by the brothers Joseph (1876-1961) and Pierre Mougin (1880-1955), ceramists and sculptors from Nancy, France. Contemporaries of the famous Nancy School and witnesses to the exhaustion of Art Nouveau and the birth of the Déco, they specialized in ornamental pieces made of stoneware, with decorations combining relief, glazes and experimental crystallizations.
