Painter. In the 60's he moved with his family to Barcelona, city in which he was going to be initiated in the plastic arts. Although he received some lessons from important masters of painting, it can be said that he is a fundamentally self-taught artist. In 1972 he traveled to Paris and Holland, where he expanded his knowledge and studied various techniques, to finally move to Mallorca in 1979, and took up residence in the town of Sa Pobla. He has participated in numerous International Art Fairs in Madrid, Barcelona, Turin, Ghent, Amsterdam, as well as in Exhibitions in Copenhagen, Germany, and Florida (USA). His solo and group exhibitions, which have been very numerous, have been distributed by museums and art centers throughout the country, and has received numerous awards and prizes in various painting competitions. Today he is considered one of the most important and influential contemporary painters of the Balearic Islands, where his work is exhibited in several museums, and the rest of Spain. Leo Bassi, the Italian actor and comedian says of him: "...I have known Julian for more than 25 years. We are the same age. As time went by and, one by one, the people around me exchanged their freedom for some illusion of material security, the coherence of my painter friend as a man and his rigor as an artist, made me grow in my appreciation for him. His coherence and persistence in his principles, even stubbornness sometimes reminded me of those austere and dignified lands of La Mancha, where his family originally came from, later settled in Barcelona...".
