Nube is a sculptural armchair, which combines a shell of orthogonal lines with a curved and ergonomic interior: the volume is delimited by the sober straight lines of the exterior, enriched by the grace of the curves of the interior. The two-tone upholstery emphasizes the harmony of shapes between the seat and its surroundings. The design of the Nube is conceived to favor visual and physical lightness. This is achieved by economizing on forms and avoiding the superfluous.

Jesús Gasca was born in 1939 in San Sebastián and studied engineering at the San Sebastián Polytechnic. In the first stage of his working life he was dedicated to the design of electrical components and systems. In 1983, he founded the company STUA, with the idea of creating a collection of contemporary furniture, with the vocation of permanence in time. His designs are characterized by their high technological content, and his great care not only of the forms, but also of the smallest details. Rationality is the key to understanding their design. Jesús Gasca defines Stua's mission as: "To improve the habitat in which we live, refining our designs and using recyclable components and environmentally friendly manufacturing processes. Contemporary pieces of high technology and simple shapes. Always thinking about the function that objects should have, but with new forms and as close as possible to the user."

Jon Gasca, son of Jesús Gasca, is an industrial engineer from the University of Navarra. He has worked at Stua with his father since 1992. His design is contemporary with a vocation to be timeless. The portfolio of his designs includes: Costura sofa collection, Solapa tables, Malena armchair, Nube armchair and, designed with Jesús Gasca, Eclipse tables, Satellite acoustic panels and Petal tables. Along with product design, Jon Gasca has been Stua's art director. He has edited the books A Simple Way and Travel Journal.
