DESCRIPTION
Circular wall mirror. MAZZEGA, Venice, 1960s.
Murano glass.
Measurements: 86 cm (diameter).
Circular wall mirror designed by the Italian firm Mazzega in the 1960s, representative of Venetian mid century design, where traditional craftsmanship and modern language are combined with great formal expressiveness.
The piece is composed of a modular structure in Murano glass, with transparent elements and amber glass applications in organic shapes that provide chromatic contrast and dynamism. The radial arrangement of the modules and the use of visible metal fasteners reinforce its decorative character.
Mazzega, established on the island of Murano, was one of the most prominent manufactures of the twentieth century, recognized for reinterpreting the glassmaking tradition through collaborations with designers and a production of high technical quality.
