Member of the Royal Photographic Society. At the age of 44, Javi Auñón, who signs his works with the pseudonym "Jaumar", has built a photographic gaze marked by sensitivity to the ephemeral, the everyday and the passage of time. His work, in black and white or color, explores the relationship between memory, spaces and human traces, always with an intimate and poetic approach. Author of the books Tan efímero, Tan eterno and El Viaje, he has captured in them his vision of photography as a universal language capable of capturing instants that fade, but remain in the retina as eternal fragments. Throughout his career he has received the First Prize of Bullfighting Photography Rafael de Antequera, as well as numerous mentions and awards in national competitions, consolidating his own style that dialogues between the documentary and the artistic. His projects are characterized by a constant search: the beauty in the simple, the emotion in the anonymous, the footprint of time in the urban and the natural. From streets shrouded in fog to objects worn by rust, his images invite us to stop and look beyond the obvious. Currently he continues to develop photographic series that delve into the idea of the instant as a territory of resistance against oblivion. His work is consolidated as a visual voice that turns the ordinary into a matter of contemplation. His work, shown in solo and group exhibitions over the years, turns the simple into contemplation, reminding us that even the most fragile has a pulse of eternity.
