This coffee table, attributed to Joan Busquets, is a representative piece of Catalan modernist furniture, combining structural sobriety and decorative refinement.

The table features a rectangular top richly decorated with a large central oval marquetry motif, framed by geometric fillets that bring balance and rhythm to the composition. This type of design, based on symmetry and purity of form, is characteristic of Busquets' language, where the ornamentation is harmoniously integrated into the structure without overloading it.

The stylized legs, joined by a lower chambrana, bring visual lightness to the whole and reveal the influence of Art Nouveau in the softness of the curves and the elegance of the profile. The carved central element of the frame introduces a discreet sculptural accent, reinforcing the handcrafted quality of the piece.
