This marine stands out for its atmospheric treatment of the light and the rough sea. The brushstroke in the water is loose and energetic to denote movement. On the right, we see port buildings built on the rock that contribute to give the whole a romantic and sublime look.
A painter born in Almeria, he was a disciple of Carlos de Haes and the Special School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving. In the Madrid Exhibition of 1876 he presented View of the port and bay of Santander, Santander traffic light station, Fas River through the valley of Toranzo. In that of 1878 the Navia River in the vicinity of San Andrés de Nogales, and the Shipwreck of the brig Fepillo on the rocks of the Castle of San Antón de la Coruña. In the one of 1881 the Ría de Betanzos. He obtained several prizes in the Exhibitions of La Coruña and Cadiz.
