Francesca Llopis began her artistic career in the eighties, a time when painting had a prominent role in the artistic context. Also for her, pictorial investigations were the axis of her work and the city was her central motif. After traveling around the world, her universe has been expanding, seeking new formulas and incorporating languages from different disciplines. He has remained in full creative and exhibition vehemence for decades. He has maintained over the decades an important creative and exhibition activity, from his first individual exhibition at the Eude gallery (1982) to the most recent ones at the Saura Foundation in Cuenca (2012), at the N2 gallery in Bacelona and at EUDE in progress (2014, May). Awards and recognitions mark her entire career, from the Ministry scholarship for a stage in Warsaw (1981) to the CONCA scholarship for Osaka (2010). She is represented in prestigious collections: Barcelona City Council, Generalitat, MACBA, Fundació La Caixa, Rafael Tous..., in the galleries Maeght, Antonio de Barnola, Ignacio Lassaleta.... Francesca unfolds in each of her canvases subtle cartographies in which palimpsests of dreams, memories and experiences are amalgamated. The psychic geographies are enriched with semantic strata. The corporeal is manifested through organic suggestions, forms and textures that refer to love, desire and the passage of time: meanders, cavities and cracks recall real landscapes while mimicking epidermal topographies.
