This urban landscape of Frederic Lloveras presents a panoramic vision of the city conceived with an expressionist and synthetic language, where the descriptive fidelity yields protagonism to the chromatic force and the compositional rhythm. The silhouette of the skyline is outlined with buildings of rounded and geometrized volumes, treated with compact planes and dense brushstrokes that evoke a great modern metropolis seen from a distance, probably from the opposite shore of the water.

In this work, Lloveras demonstrates his ability to interpret the city as a living organism, capturing not so much its exact appearance as its pulse, its luminous and emotional intensity, placing himself in a pictorial line where the tradition of the urban landscape and a clearly modern sensibility converge.

Lloveras' work is present in the Diocesan Museum of Barcelona, the Museum of Watercolor in Llançà, the Julio Quesada Museum in Crevillent and the Museum of Fine Arts in Santiago de Chile, among others.
