In this work Josep Moscardó represents a lively view of the Rambla de Vilanova, capturing the daily atmosphere of this well-known urban promenade.

The painting stands out for its vibrant treatment of color and light, characteristic features of Moscardó's style. The treetops, resolved with loose brushstrokes in shades of yellow, ochre and green, filter the light on the pavement and generate shadows that animate the pictorial surface. With an expressive brushstroke and an intense chromatic range, the artist transmits the luminous and Mediterranean atmosphere of the place, transforming an everyday urban scene into an image full of vitality and character.

Josep Moscardó trained in Barcelona, at the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de Sant Jordi and La Lonja. Since the beginning of his career in 1976 he has focused mainly on landscape, especially on urban views and inhabited spaces where architecture and the atmosphere of the place take center stage.

Throughout his career he has received several awards and has exhibited both in Spain -in galleries such as Sala Parés or Sala Vayreda- and abroad, participating in exhibitions in cities such as Los Angeles, New York, London or Tokyo. His painting reflects a marked Mediterranean sensibility, visible in the treatment of light, color and the intensity of the stroke. He has also developed graphic work dedicated to urban landscapes of cities such as Barcelona or New York.
