19th century Sèvres porcelain vase with an egg shape, symbol of elegance and refinement, carefully enameled and gilded. Its structure is supported by three delicate legs in the form of acanthus leaves, a classic decorative element that evokes the ornamental richness of Renaissance and Baroque art, reinterpreted with the grace of 19th century French style.
The luminous white body is finely worked with golden ornamentation in the form of garlands and leaves, which intertwine smoothly on the surface, bringing visual dynamism to the piece. In the center is a framed round cartouche containing a meticulously painted gallant scene. A couple in a bucolic setting, perhaps exchanging words of love or enjoying an intimate moment in nature, a scene very characteristic of the rococo revival taste of the period.
The enameling technique used on this box highlights the finesse of the details and the contrast between the bright gold and the pure white of the porcelain, while its shape and composition reveal the master craftsmanship of the Manufacture de Sèvres, renowned for its excellence and its association with European aristocracy. This type of object not only served as a dressing table or jewelry box, but was also a collector's item.
