The vase features an elongated ovoid body, set on a circular foot and topped by a short neck with a turned rim. The surface combines a deep green background with large black areas, distributed irregularly and fused into the glass itself. The decoration is complemented by greenish-yellow inclusions and metallic reflections, applied in fragmented patches that evoke plant or mineral forms. The contrast between the green transparencies, the dark areas, and the luminous sparkles lends depth and movement to the piece as a whole.

The piece reflects Daum’s evolution toward the Art Deco style, characterized by refined forms, more concise compositions, and a growing appreciation for the abstract effects of color and the glass material itself. The Nancy workshop thus maintained its experimental spirit, adapting its technical tradition to the new decorative tastes of the 1920s.
