Measurements: 60 x 46 cm; 65 x 51 cm (frame).
Considered as the most outstanding Catalan sculptor of his time, and great draftsman, Joan Rebull was formed in Barcelona, London and Paris, and was co-founder of the group "Els Evolucionistes". He participated in the Salon des Indépendants in Paris, exhibited in Madrid and Barcelona and was appointed president of the new Salon de Montjuic and academician of Sant Jordi. He won important awards throughout his career, and in 1962 he was appointed professor at the School of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi. Shortly before his death he was awarded the Gold Medal of the Generalitat de Catalunya. He is represented in the National Art Museum of Catalonia, the Reina Sofia National Center, the Barcelona City Hall, the Monastery of Montserrat and the Palau de la Música Catalana, among other centers.
