A sculptor and astronomer, he was the son of the painter Dionís Renart i Bosch and the nephew of the painter Joaquim Renart. Initially trained by his father, he also studied at the Llotja School and under the sculptor Josep Llimona. His time in Paris allowed him to become intimately familiar with the work of Auguste Rodin, who was a major influence on Renart. His work focused on the decorative arts, including ceramics, medals, and jewelry for the Masriera firm, all under the stylistic influence of Modernism. He participated in several fine arts exhibitions in Barcelona (Eva, 1911; La Raza, 1918) and Madrid (Allegory and Portraits, 1912). He served as an anatomical sculptor at the Barcelona School of Medicine. He also created religious imagery and funerary sculpture, co-authoring with Josep Llimona and Antoni Gaudí the group *Las Tres Marías de La Resurrección de Jesús* (1913–1916), the First Mystery of Glory of the Monumental Rosary of Montserrat.
