The composition is built up with broad black strokes and large fields of red, yellow, and blue, accompanied by a green circle and small linear marks. The intensity of the colors and the freedom of the brushwork transform the inscription “Miró” into an active part of the image.

The work is part of the print edition produced to mark the unveiling of the Tapís de Tarragona. It was published in a run of 200 copies on Guarro paper with the Sala Gaspar watermark, and the image is included in *Miró Litógrafo*, Volume IV.

Joan Miró was one of the leading figures in 20th-century art. Associated with Surrealism since the 1920s, he created his own artistic language based on signs, constellations, organic forms, and poetic rhythms. His work is represented in institutions such as the Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona, MoMA in New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Tate in London.
