An architecture of light emerges from deep indigo fields, revealing an ascending journey through matter, color, and silence. Overlapping layers and chromatic transparencies construct a space of tension and balance, where flashes of yellow, turquoise, and magenta burst forth like pulses of energy.

Part of the “Indigo Portals” series, *Indigo Ascent* explores ascent as a metaphor for inner transformation: a journey from darkness toward revelation, where the painting becomes a threshold between the visible and the intangible.

Miroslav Spadrna is a Czech painter whose work moves between abstraction and figuration, creating an intense and deeply sensory visual experience. Self-taught in his early years, he had already achieved international recognition before studying fine arts: by the age of 25, his work was being sold in Germany, the Netherlands, and other European countries. He was awarded the European Artist Prize in 2023 in Milan and was appointed Coordinator of Art and Painting in the Czech Republic in 2021. He has participated in group exhibitions in Spain, including one in Berja (Andalusia, 2023), and completed an artist residency in Garachico, Canary Islands, in 1997. His work has received positive reviews and has been featured in various media outlets. Since April 2024, he has been a member of the Chicote Visual Art Gallery (Spain).
