DESCRIPTION
Pair of Japanese vases, Meiji Period (1868-1912).
Celadon and gilded bronze.
Measurements: 60 cm (height).
Pair of Japanese vases from the Meiji period made in celadon glazed ceramic, decorated with naturalistic scenes of birds among flowering branches in relief and polychrome enamels. The slender profile bodies are combined with gilt bronze mounts that form the neck, side handles and base, in Western taste, reflecting the production destined for the international market during the Meiji dynasty.
The set was adapted as lamps, according to later use.
