Painting resolved in impressionist language. In its vertical format it welcomes in its margins the profile of long trees that support the clear sky. The two women of refined bearing, with elegant frilly dresses and protected from the sun by umbrellas, contrast with the rustic environment, which gives us to understand that they are visiting this picturesque village that seems trapped in time. The ladies are in a narrow street, in front of a house with a facade partially hidden by a leafy garden. The vegetation, depicted with loose, luminous brushstrokes, gives a feeling of freshness, in keeping with the atmosphere of a sunny day. The iron and stone fence that delimits the house is decorated with ceramic vases, elements that add a touch of classic delicacy to the bucolic atmosphere. The sky, almost cloudless except for a few scattered soft clouds, floods the scene with light, highlighting the vivid colors of the ladies' attire and the greenish and earthy tones of the village corner.
