DESCRIPTION
RODRIGO GARCÍA HUETOS (Gualda, Guadalajara, 1948).
"Still life of jars".
Oil on canvas.
Signed in the lower right corner.
Measurements: 54 × 81 cm; 72 × 100 × 3 cm (frame).
García Huetos builds a still life of great pictorial sensitivity from a set of jars, containers and small objects arranged on a surface of greenish tones. The artist works with a soft brushstroke, close to an intimate vision of the everyday object. The jars, aligned frontally, acquire a silent, evocative presence, like the remains of a workspace, laboratory or old cabinet.
Rodrigo García Huetos is an artist from Alcarria, Spain, born in Gualda, Guadalajara, in 1948. A former teacher, he developed a career focused on painting, collage, assemblage and sculpture, with a special interest in composition, color, textures and the expressiveness of materials. He has exhibited in various spaces, including the Francisco Sobrino Museum in Guadalajara, and his work is characterized by a poetic look at objects, nature and the memory of everyday life.
