The Ro armchair by Fritz Hansen has been designed and planned by the Spanish designer Jaime Hayón to provide moments of pure comfort. The base is made of wood and the back is made of rigid polyurethane. The seat, on the other hand, is very ergonomic and has a seat and a half. The cushions are padded with extralarge polyurethane foam. The armrests have been designed to accommodate the arm and give you the possibility to accommodate yourself in different ways, depending on the need of the moment, whether for a reading break, rest, computer use or to watch TV. This armchair has a relaxing and comfortable look and is an invitation to take moments of pure relaxation in everyday life. It is entirely handmade by expert craftsmen who take care of every phase of production down to the smallest detail, from start to finish. The external part protects and shelters the seat, and the headrest and soft cushions give you the maximum of rest. This armchair combines with any type of environment, in the living room or in the bedroom and with any type of decoration, classic or with elegant, pure and essential forms typical of contemporary decoration, where it reaches the essence of elegance.
Jaime Hayón was trained in Madrid, but was forged as a designer in Fabrica, the creative incubator that Benetton runs near the Italian city of Treviso. His exhibition Mediterranean Digital Baroque at the David Gill Gallery in London, together with the swimwear collection he designed for ArtQuitect, marked the beginning of his meteoric international projection, which was consolidated with the "Showtime" collection produced by Bd and his subsequent collaborations with leading firms. Among his most recent awards is the Designer of the Year award from "Maison et Objets".
