Contextualized carving in the late eighteenth - early nineteenth-century Spain that represents St. Francis with the Child with his usual iconography, composed by the Franciscan cord. The Saint wears an ornate floral habit with gilded details in accordance with the celestial halo emanating from his head. It can be observed the high degree of delicacy and mastery in the depiction of the character, with great elegance and neoclassical aesthetics. The sculptural group is contained in a clearly baroque chapel whose structure is embellished by acanthus leaves, scrolls, scallops and a central upper cartouche that tops the piece.
