A painter who primarily focused on landscapes and is considered a great expressionist in the Castilian style, he trained in drawing and composition at a private art academy, where his first teacher was Juan García Castillo. He held his first exhibition in his hometown in 1966, winning the “Teodoro Baca” Prize (1975), and later exhibited in Valencia, Zaragoza, Granada, Madrid, and various other Spanish cities. A friend—and, to a certain extent, a disciple—of Benjamín Palencia (1894–1980), he was a member of the “Tierra Blanca” Group, which was spiritually guided by the great painter. Following this period of clear influence from Benjamín Palencia, he developed his own artistic style characterized by a luminous palette and meticulous composition. In 1991, he exhibited in Valencia and Madrid.
