Modelled and stamped wax plate, this is an Agnus, i.e. a wax plate printed with a devotional image which has been blessed and consecrated by the Pope. In this particular case, one side shows the representation of the Agnus Déi with the lamb on an altar accompanied by a banner. The other side has the figure of a religious man who, by the stamp of the letters, represents Saint Luke accompanied by the bull, since his writings begin by speaking of the sacrifice made to God by Zechariah, father of John the Baptist.
