DESCRIPTION

Frame; Spanish School; XVII century.
Carved wood, gilded and polychrome.
It presents damages caused by xylophagous.
Measurements: 93 x 67 cm (light); 115 x 88,5 cm (frame).
Seventeenth century frame made of carved and polychrome wood, with a typical structure of this time: rectangular, with floral moldings. The outstanding feature of this frame is the imitation of tortoiseshell that can be seen on the exterior profile and later on the interior of the frame, this area being delimited by gilded strips.
