Painter and author of light installations, Tom Carr grew up in the United States, although he returned to Spain to study at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Barcelona. He began his career in the seventies, and soon made important installations such as the one in the Espacio 10 of the Miró Foundation in Barcelona (1981). He also taught at the Massana School in the same city. In 2009 a retrospective exhibition was dedicated to him in the exhibition hall of Caixa Tarragona, covering his production from 1974 to that same year. Carr is currently represented in the Museums of Modern Art of Tarragona and Céret (France), the Österreichischer Skulpturenpark in Graz (Austria), the Joan Miró Foundation and others.
