Bohemian glass, known mainly as Bohemian crystal, is a glass produced in the regions of Bohemia and Silesia, now parts of the Czech Republic. It has a centuries-long history of being recognized internationally for its high quality, craftsmanship, beauty and often innovative designs. Hand-cut, engraved, blown and painted decorative glassware ranges from champagne flutes to huge chandeliers, ornaments, figurines and other glassware. The hegemony of Bohemian crystal began in the late 16th century. It became popular among both the nobility and European royalty of the time and today, allowing its reputation to reach all corners of the world.
