Jordi Curós attended the School of Olot and later received a scholarship from the French Institute of Barcelona to further his studies in Paris (1954). He also received study grants from the Barcelona City Council (1958). He held his first individual drawing exhibition in Olot in 1949 and the following year he showed his oil paintings at the El Jardín Gallery in Barcelona. Later he will do it in the Sala Parés. In 1952 he is selected by Eugeni d'Ors to appear in the X Salón de los Once and in 1953 he participates in the II Bienal Hispano-Americana de La Habana. In 1968 he ends up in informalism and then expressionism, evolves towards a particular neo-modernism that will end up predominating in his painting. He receives numerous awards, among others from the City Council of Barcelona in 1953, the Diputación de Gerona in 1964, in the II Biennial International of the Department of Fine Arts in 1969. He is represented in the Museums of Modern Art of Barcelona, of Olot, of San Pol de Mar, in the Zabaleta Museum of Jaén and in the Diputación de Barcelona.
