The Glance mirror is one of Boca do Lobo's most recognizable pieces and clearly summarizes the firm's language: craftsmanship, formal experimentation and a conception of furniture as a collectible design object. Its fragmented composition, made up of thirty-six mirrors with organic contours, generates a broken surface that breaks the conventional reading of the mirror and brings it closer to the realm of the sculptural object.
The structure, manually worked in wood and finished with high-gloss varnish, arranges the fragments through an irregular geometry of great visual precision. In this version, the black finish reinforces the graphic character of the piece and accentuates the contrast between line, void and reflection, one of the aspects that give the model its singularity within the firm's production.
