Original poster corresponding to F.C. Barcelona's season opening match in 1922, held at the historic Camp de Les Corts, emblematic stadium of the first great stage of the club. The match, played against Ilford F.C. of London, reflects the growing international projection of Barça in the 1920s, at the height of the modern soccer boom.
The poster is illustrated by Josep Segrelles, one of the great masters of Spanish poster design and illustration of the 20th century, a contributor to leading publications and an internationally renowned artist. His highly personal, dramatic, dynamic and precise style gives this piece a strong visual character.
Printed in large format, it presents a vibrant and evocative design that summarizes the sporting spirit of the time.
