Italian bargueño of uncovered sample and prismatic structure that sits on four chamfered ball feet. The decoration is concentrated in the front, divided in three streets. The sides house six equal drawers, with the front ornamented with rectangular bone veneers. The piece stands out for its compositional clarity through the marking of the different parts of the structure, an aspect that demonstrates that we are dealing with an advanced baroque bargueño, tending towards the purification of forms, without excessive ornamentation. The central street, on the other hand, has an architecturally inspired design with the representation of a knight in the center.
The wastepaper basket rests on an Italian lyre-leg table. The lyre-leg table emerged in Italy in the 16th century as a table in many cases for representation, not use. Inspired by the tables of classical antiquity (made of marble and with cross supports), they have two lateral supports that can be removed to transport the piece of furniture, and that can have a lyre or vase profile. These transversal supports will be decorated in some cases with classical motifs typical of the Renaissance. In the center of these supports there is an "H" shoe.
