Measuring instrument box containing different types of professional compasses: dry-point compasses in different sizes, drawing compasses with couplings to incorporate accessories such as line pens or mechanical pencils, extensions with different points and spring compasses. In addition to drawing pencils, awls, precision needles and slide rules with graduated scales. This set of instruments is a microcosm of Victorian-era technical and design instrumentation, revealing a high quality set of tools, with bone detailing.
