"Landscape of Salardú".

Landscape painter disciple of José Vila Cinca and Modest Urgell in the School of Fine Arts of Barcelona. He celebrated his first exhibition in the Artistic Center of Granada (1918), and after a trip to Paris, he presented his work in the Layetanas galleries of Barcelona (1920). In the thirties he exhibited in Madrid and Paris on several occasions. His landscapes "are at the same distance from objective rigor as from creative impressionism", as Camón Aznar affirms. He competed in the National Fine Arts, obtaining the Third Medal in 1929, Second in 1930 and First in 1934, obtaining the Extraordinary Prize of the Ministry of Education in the Fine Arts of 1942, and the Vila Cinca Medal (1953). After his death, two anthologies were organized in the Palau de la Virreina in Barcelona and in the Salas de la Dirección General de Bellas Artes, in Madrid. He is represented in the Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona and the Reina Sofia Center in Madrid, among other collections.
