The Parker Duofold Norman Rockwell Limited Edition, launched in 1996, is a fountain pen that pays tribute to both the legacy of Norman Rockwell, celebrated American illustrator, and Parker's historic Duofold line. This limited edition was conceived as a celebration of art, writing and classic design, with a mintage of only 3,500 numbered units worldwide, making it a coveted collector's item.
The pen is presented with a body in Black & Pearl acrylic resin, a combination of black and pearl tones that evokes the elegance of the Duofold of the late 1920s. This design is no coincidence: it faithfully reproduces the fountain pen that appears in the first Parker advertisement illustrated by Rockwell in 1929. The set is completed by gold-plated details, including the clip and decorative rings, which lend it an air of timeless distinction and refinement.
The 18-karat solid gold nib, with rhodium-plated mask and medium point, provides smooth and precise writing, in keeping with the brand's tradition of quality. Its converter or cartridge loading system allows a practical experience without losing the charm of classic writing. The screw closure ensures a perfect seal and adds robustness to the design.
